ESPP faculty elect five members to Program Advisory Group
Faculty of the Environmental Science & Policy Program (ESPP) elected five members to its Program Advisory Group (PAG), for two-year terms, effective Fall Semester 2004. Elected this May were: Anne Ferguson (Anthropology), Daniel Hayes (Fisheries and Wildlife), Michael Kaplowitz (Community, Agriculture, Recreation and Resource Studies), R. Jan Stevenson (Zoology) and Julie Winkler (Geography). Fifteen faculty members ran for election. Turnout was very strong; 63 percent (81 of 129) of ESPP faculty members voted.
The five faculty members elected in Fall Semester 2003 to two-year terms will continue for another year. Those PAG members include: Craig Harris (Sociology), Joan Rose (Homer Nowlin Endowed Chair in Water Research), James Tiedje (Crop and Soil Sciences), Thomas Voice (Civil & Environmental Engineering) and Antoinette WinklerPrins (Geography).
In addition, this fall, the three lead Deans (Colleges of Agriculture & Natural Resources, Natural Science and Social Science) will each appoint two faculty members to one-year terms, to fill out the 16-member PAG.
The PAG advises the ESPP Director on program matters and serves as an executive committee for the program. |
